On Monday, June 16, 2014, God reached down and selected a very special shamrock from the

earth. James Anthony Milloy joined the Lord in Heaven. He was 85.

He was born in Tacoma, Wash., on May 4, 1929. Jim was married to the late Joanna (Tainter) Milloy, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage before her passing on Dec. 15, 1991.

Jim graduated from Saint Martin's College in Olympia, Wash. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army where he attended Officers Training School in Fort Riley, Kan. Upon completion of Officers Training School, he served as the finance auditor in Frankfurt, Germany. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He then began an accounting career with a firm in Olathe, Kan. After several years, he moved on in his career as an auditor for the Department of Transportation for the U.S. Government. Jim was transferred to the Philadelphia office in 1979 and chose the Bucks County area to live.

Jim lived in the Bucks County area for 35 years. During that time he continued his work as a federal auditor for the Department of Transportation in the Philadelphia, Pa. and Baltimore, Md. offices. Six months after retiring, in September of 1987, He started working part time at Delray Thriftway in New Hope, Pa. as a cashier, counting clerk, and front end manager. He worked at

Delray/Clemens/Superfresh Market until his final retirement in July of 2008.

He enjoyed traveling to many places such as Nova Scotia Canada, the Caribbean, and Ireland, but his favorite trips were always to see family in Olathe, Kan., California, and Seattle Washington. His biggest pastime was meeting people, socializing, and telling many wonderful stories as he gathered with everyone.

Over the years, he attended Mass at St. Martins Church in New Hope. Over the last two years, in addition to attending Mass, he thoroughly enjoyed attending the Thursday morning Bible Study at his daughter, Sarah's, church, Lahaska United Methodist in Lahaska. He always brought forth many questions and insights for discussion.

Jim lived a very full, happy life surrounded by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Milloy, and his sister, Helen Milloy.
