Obituary for James Harper Lyons Jr
Died, at his residence, in Johnson county, Kas., after a short illness, Nov. 4th, 1887, James Lyons, Jr., a faithful and consistent member of the Bethel M. E. church and Sunday-school.
Whereas. Death has entered our class and taken from earth our beloved brother, Jimmie Lyons: and
Whereas, we mourn the loss or one whose pleasant association with us will long be remembered, and realize that. sooner or later, the dearest ties of earth must be severed; therefore, be it
Resolved, that while we deeply sympathizewith father, mother, brothers sisters and friends of the departed, we feel the weakness of human sympathy and commend them to Jesus, who alone can heal the broken hearts.
Resolved, That while we mourn with the friends, we rejoice with them in the hope or a reunion beyond the grave.
Resolved, That these resolutions be placed upon the minutes of the secretary's book, and that a copy be furnished the Olathe paper, and one to the friends of the deceased.
