Obituary for Charles Harry Ekengren

HARRY EKENGREN AT REST.

The Popular Young Man died Yesterday Morning.

Died at the family residence in Olathe of pleuro-puenmonia, on Wednesday June 24, at one o'clock a. m., Mr. C. H. Ekengren, aged 24 years, 11 months and 26 days.

Mr. Ekengren was a highly respected young man in Olathe where he was born and had lived all his life, and had no enemies. At the date or his untimely taking off he was assistant post master of Olathe which position he had held ever since the present incumbent took posession of the office.

The funeral services took place at the residence of the family in southwest Olathe this forenoon at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. W. Bishop, pastor of the Congregational church, after which the remains were escorted to the grave in Olathe cemetery by Independent Lodge No. 4, Knights of Pythias of Olathe, of which deceased was an honored and prominent member in his lifetime, and his numerous friends in the city and surrounding country. The beautiful burial service of the Knights of Pythias was rendered, when Harrv was left to his lonely but peaceful sleep, and all returned to their homes, sadly, though with another forcible reminder that "in the midst of life we are in death."
