At the age of 1 year, he and his family moved to Olathe, Kan., and his roots were firmly planted there. He was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints and became an Eagle Scout at 14 years old. For over 20 years, Travis was employed at Mattress City; he considered them all like family. Travis was a devoted husband and father. In 1994, he married his wife, Janet. His family was the most important thing to him, always. He was well-thought of by many people because he was a steady, strong man, and he showed outstanding kindness. He was happiest when outdoors. An avid fisherman and hunter, no tree stand was too high for him. He loved working and playing on the farm. He was preceded in death by grandparents Major and Dorothy Weiss, Emmett and Minnie Coborn, and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Belinda Pearcy. Survivors include his wife, Janet; his children, Zach, 21 years, Paige, 16 years, and Elias, age 9; mother and husband, Sally and Robert Simon; father and wife, Aubrey and Nancy Coborn; brothers Jack Pearcy, Allen Coborn; sisters Melody Goodspeed, Pam Copeland, and also by an additional six sisters and three brothers who loved and cherished him very much, and nieces, nephews, many cousins and extended family. A special thanks to Pascal, Ann and John for their help and contributions. McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E Loula St, Olathe, KS 66061, 913-782-0582
