Obituary for Benjamin Hubbard Smith

OBITUARY

Benjamin Hubbard Smith, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Johnson connty, departed this  life October 29. 1906, aged 80 years, 8 months and 26 days. Mrs. Smith died more than three and one-half years ago, and one of their children has been dead for several years. Seven of their eight children survive the parents There are also twenty-nine grandchildrenvand five great-grandchildren. . Mr. Smith had lived for about forty years on the farm where be died, about eight miles northwest of Olathe. The funeral services were held at the Bethel M. E. church, the pastor being assisited by Rev. N. A. Shedd of Olathe. Interment in Olathe cemetery.
