Death of Mr. John Oliver Wallace

The death of Mr. John Oliver Wallace, a veteran of the Civil War was Saturday night at the home of his son, George L. Wallace, 120 E. 34th street. Kansas City. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 3 o''clock Monday afternoon and burial made in the Olathe Cemetery.

Mr. Wallace was 85 years of age.He was born in New Castle, Pa., and served in the Civil War in Co. F. 100th Penn. volunteer Infantry. He was a member of the Franklin Post G. A. R. at Olathe. Mr. Wallace had been a resident of Olathe for about 30 years, until the last three years, when he made his home in Kansas City with his son.
