Obituary for Robert Bell

Robert Bell died on Sunday Novem ber 11, 1900 st St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., Aged 47 years 7 months and 25 days. As he was returning home from work about 7 o'clock Saturday evening October 27, he was struck by a cable car, his skull was fractured and he received many cuts and bruises from which he could not recover.
 
He was born in Indiana county, Pennsylvania, March 19, 1858, coming to Kansas in 1869 with his parents and resided in Johnson county until 1886 when he went to Kansas City, Mo., where he worked as check clerk at the Missouri Pacific freight depot until his death.
 
He was a man of extraordinary good habits and always had a kind word for everyone. He leaves two sisters and three brothers besides a host of friends to mourn hissad death. He was a mem ber of the M. W A. which showed their love and respect by sending a large. pillow of chrysanthemuna and roses. He was also a member of the A. O. U. W. te was an active member in both lodges in which he will be sadly missed.
 
The employes of the Missouri Pacific freight depot showed their love and honor by sending lovely pillow of carnations and roses. He was also re membered with flowers from other friends
 
The remains were brought to Olathe on Tuesday where the funeral services were held at the residence of his sister. Mrs. C. E. Hammond at 1: o ele conducted by Rev. A. V. Stont, after which the remains were laid to rest beside his father and mother in the Olathe cemetery
