Obituary for Robert Caldwell Allison

Robert C. Allison, the subject of this sketch, was born in Northumberland county. Pennsylvania, January 28, 1818.

The family emigrated to Green county, Ohio, in 1830, where they remained two years. Their next location was three miles north of Sidney, Shelby County, same state. About this time Mr. Allison's father died and he became the support of the family. In 1847 he was married to Mary J. Russel, who was re­moved by death August 10, 1859. Mr. Allison came to Kansas in 1868 and lo­cated on the farm two miles north of Olathe, where he lived for thirty-one years and where he died May 29, 1899. There are five children to mourn his 1088. four sons and one daughter, the latter now Mrs. M.??ry E. Jewett of Du­rango, Colo. Of the sons James C. lives in Topeka, William at Stanley, Samuel on the home place and Frank R. in Kansas City.

Robert C. Allison was a model citizen, a kind  neighbor and a most affectionate father. He was an honest, upright man, the noblest work of God. In his early life he united with the Presbyter­ian church, where he maintained a beautiful Christian life until the day of his death. He acted his part in life well and has gone to his everlasting re­ward.
