Obituary for Caroline M Stois

Celebration of life services for Caroline M. (nee Graham) Stois, 91, of Perry, will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Mrs. Stois passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Altercare of Mentor with her children at her side. Born Oct. 30, 1923, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 65 years, living in Willowick before moving to Perry. Mrs. Stois retired from the Willoughby-Eastlake School System. Caroline fought cancer for 32 years and loved playing bingo and gambling. She was a member of Willoughby VFW Post 1500, Willoughby Eagles Aerie 2300 and Jay Wilson American Legion Auxiliary Unit 112 in Madison. Caroline was a good mother and hard worker all of her life. She will be deeply missed by all. "Special thanks to Drs. Stepnick and Rezaee for the miracles they did keeping our mom alive for so many years. Also, thank you to the staff of Altercare of Mentor for all the loving care given to mom over the past year." She was the loving mother of Jerry Stois, Sandra (Ernest "Pat") Willis and Dwayne Stois; cherished grandmother of Tina Piszczor; great-grandmother of Megan Johnson and Molly Horvath; sister of Mona Bensky and Roseline Graham; sister-in-law of Rose Graham; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eli Stois; parents, Harry and Margaret (nee Schriener) Graham; and siblings, George Claussen, William Claussen, Harry Graham, Leonard Graham, Ralph Graham, Elizabeth Biggam and Frances Niepokny. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
