Parker 1921 - 2015 | Obituary | Condolences Martha J. Parker Obituary "TOGETHER AGAIN" Martha J. Parker CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Martha J. Parker, 93, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on August 12, 2015. Born in Canton, Ohio on October 23, 1921 to the late John and Ethel Michael, Martha had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 1950. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Akron, where she participated as a member of the choir and was a member of the American Baptist Women''s Association. Faith and family were very important to Martha and she will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents; Martha was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Parker in 2001; sister, Mary Lou Black. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Linda) Parker, Nancy Parker, Tom (Julia) Parker, Amy (Glen) Wood; grandchildren, Jennifer, Lisa, and Kevin Parker, Sarah (Adam) Hunter, Angela (Nick) Deni, and Jordan Wood; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Hunter and Ethan Deni. The family will receive friends TODAY, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave., (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Akron, 1670 Shatto Ave. ,Akron, OH 44313, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Akron.
