Rodney E. Tucker, 53, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2015.
Born on December 22, 1961, to John (deceased) and Gladys Tucker, he was the youngest of three children. He was a lifetime resident of the Akron, Ohio community where he was educated in the Akron Public Schools and was a graduate of Central Hower High, class of 1980. He served his community as a City of Akron Police Officer for 27 years before becoming ill. He loved music and making people laugh.
Rodney leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Trenna; mother, Gladys Tucker; sister, Wanda (Ernest) Radcliff; brother, Terence (Debby) Tucker; godson, Omar Drew; best friend, Kevin Keaton; and a host of other family and friends.
Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, 12 Noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 327 Cuyahoga St., Akron, OH 44310, Rev. Dr. Luther C. Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment, Mt. Peace Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1144 Wyley Ave., Akron 44306.
