Obituary for ARLENE CAROLYN GRABILL ISAACS
Arlene C. Isaacs, 68, of Adel, formerly Arlene Bacon of Des Moines, gained her angel wings on July 9, 2015. She was born on February 20, 1947 to Vernie and Mildred Bacon.
Arlene was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a graduate of North High School in Des Moines.
Arlene was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Davenport of West Des Moines; her son, Odie Grabill of Saylorville and his children David and Kabra; her daughter, Kathy Davis of Adel and her children Jake Davis of Adel and Josie Thompson of Altoona; great grandchildren, Kysen and Kiyah; former stepchildren, Jerry Dean Grabill, Tom Grabill, and Linda Alexander; many nieces and nephews; cousins; great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Her funeral service will be 2 PM Monday, July 13, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 7 PM with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
