A service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 28th at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Irene Crawford, 80, of Austintown, formerly of Berlin Center, who passed away Tuesday morning June 23, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born June 30, 1934 in Beloit, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clyde and Agnes (Greenawalt) Flickinger. Irene was a 1952 graduate of Berlin Center Western Reserve High School.
Irene was employed by General Motors as an Assembler from 1970 to 2000. She loved polka, crocheting, and puzzles. Irene most of all loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Irene is survived by her long time partner of 44 years, Martin Feeney; her five children, Dan Crawford, of Louisville, Ohio, Scott (Mary Lou) Crawford, of Austintown, Jeanette (Earl) Teeters, of Diamond, Ohio, Brent Crawford, of Austintown, and George (Jerry) Crawford, of Camp Hill, Kentucky; her three grandchildren, Daniel (Celeste) Crawford, Jeffrey (Colleen) Grenamyer, and Kristen (Greg) Thomas; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her four sisters, Vera Courtney, Doris Yeager, Edith Kale, and Elsie Colvin; and her brother, Clifford Greenawalt.
Family and friends may call from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 28th at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where the memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm.
