Yvonne "Vonnie" M. Hill
STOW -- Yvonne "Vonnie" M. Hill, 80, passed away June 10, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Born in Bobtown, Pa., she was an area resident since 1962 and retired as a teacher from the Cuyahoga Falls schools in 1990 after 31 years of service in Ohio school system. Vonnie was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and was passionately involved in the quilting group. Vonnie also enjoyed her time in the Double T Quilt Guild at Hale Farm and Village and spending time with friends and family.
As a loving wife, mother and granny, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, William R.; children, William Russell (Donna) Hill, Jr., Susan (Anthony) Ricchiuto, Clark Allan (Anne) Hill, Amy Beth (Rudy) Stagl; grandchildren, Josh, Amanda, Brian, Drew, Alayna, Saschia, Mario, Geena, Leana, Marina, Sarita, Marissa, Ethan and Angelo; brother, Bruce (Barb) Brewer; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were held at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Dr. David Baker will officiate a memorial service Sunday, June 14, 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org.
