Mass of Christian Burial for Walter W. Clish, Jr., 86, of Eastlake, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 35781 Stevens Boulevard, Eastlake.
Mr. Clish passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born October 17, 1928 in Richeyville, PA, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 56 years.
He was a World War II United States Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 678 Willowick-Eastlake. He was also a member of Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Clish was employed as a lathe operator at the General Electric Corporation Cleveland Equipment Plant. He retired in 1987 after 18 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Beatrice (Muster) Clish, whom he married on June 3, 1950 in Girard, OH; children, Judi (David) Wright of Chicago, IL, Gary Clish and Susan (Mitch) Kokish, both of Eastlake; grandchildren, Lyz (Chris) Bongard, Becky (Brian) Anderson, Joshua Wright, Matthew Kokish and Natalie Kokish; great-granddaughters, Aubrey Bongard and Briley Anderson; and brother, Robert (Rhonda) Clish of Pittsburgh, PA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter, Sr. and Elizabeth (Baron) Clish; and brother, Frank Clish.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
