India Ola Douglas blessed this earth on May 29, 1995 in Akron, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Buchtel CLC class of 2013. She was employed by JC Penney and Avon. India was a fashion forward, stylish, intelligent young lady, whose hobbies included: practicing her makeup artistry to other young ladies for special events, drawing, writing poetry, computer technology, and playing the piano. India decided to pursue her passion and was enrolled at Regency Beauty Institute. She received her wings on May 11, 2015.
India will forever be remembered for her laid back sweet demeanor, innocent smile, and positive optimistic approach to life. Her kind heart made her an easy person to talk to. Her comedic side allowed her to share many smiles, laughter, and fun times with family and friends.
India was preceded in death by uncle, Calvin Douglas Jr; grandmother, Gladys Lee Allen; grandfathers, John E. Allen, Calvin Douglas Sr. and Norris Bryant.
She leaves to cherish her memory devoted and loving parents, Dexter and Shannon; brother, Donte; sister, Ashlyn; uncles, John Allen Jr., Daryl Allen, Ervin Allen; aunts, Glenda (Bryan) Coleman, Awilda (Ray) Long, and Lavine Allen; grandmother, Ola Davis; great-grandmother, Dorothy Lee Twitty; great-great-grandmother, Mozella Carmichael.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12 at First Apostolic Faith Church, 790 Easter Ave., Akron, OH 44307. Funeral service will immediately follow. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1230 Bye St., Akron, OH 44320.
