Howard ''Rich'' Arnold Obituary
 
Services for Howard "Rich" Arnold, age 83, of Mentor, will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Born October 14, 1931, in Cumberland, Md., he moved to Cleveland in 1955 then came to Mentor in 1963.
He passed away May 2, 2015, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Twp.
Rich was a tallyman in the lumber industry for 50 years. He served in the US Army in Korea where he was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a Charter Member of AMVETS Post 40 and was instrumental in building the post. Rich was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and was known for his generosity and sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Wayne) Anderson and Linda (Mike) Heppes; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Arnold; grandchildren John, Michael, Jason and Karen; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, and Austin; great-great-grandson, Nathaniel; brothers, Paul, Rusty and Louie Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bell; son, Howard; grandsons, Kenny and Robbie; brothers, Russ and Lloyd; sister, Edna Duckworth; and his parents, John and Vernie Arnold.
