Gene I. Thomasson, 83, a resident of Chester Twp., passed away.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Thomasson was an Engineer for General Electric for 39 years, retiring in 1993.
He was the beloved husband of Alice (nee Andrews); dearest father of Susan Henderson (Fred), Steve Thomasson (Linda), Thomas White (Laura), Janet Randazzo (Pete), James White, Laurel Davis (Michael), Karen Chapman (Mark), Christine Dawson (Doug), Jennifer Thomasson and Daniel Thomasson (Stephanie); devoted grandfather of 27 and great grandfather of 28; dear brother of Barbara Collins (deceased) (husband Dean).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to The Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
The family will receive friends at The Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, Chesterland. Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
