Willie Nell Davis peacefully crossed over from this life to rest eternally with the Lord on February 3, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.
She was born June 1, 1945 in Yantley, Ala. to the late Hattie L. Talison-Davis and Booker T. Davis.
Willie Nell was preceded in death by parents; and siblings, Berniece (Davis) Foy and Ellawee (Davis) Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Twila (Edward) Davis, Kecia (Samuel) Davis-Walker, and Tokya Davis, all of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren, Pares, Samuel, Sha-Tokya, Corey, and Ta-Nyeja, all of Akron, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Junior C. Brooks, Virginia Davis, and Jimmie Lee Davis, all of Akron, Ohio; brothers, Edward (Janeth) Davis of Cleveland, Ohio, and James (Patricia) Hicks of Akron, Ohio; special friends, Flossie Garrett and Love Brooks of Akron, Ohio; and a host of other family and friends.
Service will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Rev. William McWain, Sr. officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 705 Lauby Ave., Akron, OH 44306.
