CINCINNATI - Mabel G. Hauger, 93, formerly of Boardman, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Cottingham Nursing Home in Cincinnati.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, with memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.

Mabel was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Porter, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Burkett) Gahagan.

She graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1941. Her family relocated to the Youngstown area, where Mabel worked as a typist at for U.S. Steel for 10 years. She met the love of her life, William G. Hauger, and they married on Jan. 17, 1947.

Mabel is survived by her husband, William, of 67 years; a son, Douglas C. (Nina) Hauger of Coconut Creek, Fla.; a daughter, Debra D. (Tim) McManus of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Tiffany L. (Jose) Figueroa of Coconut Creek; and a brother, Wesley (Joanne) Gahagan of Boardman.

Besides her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by a sister, D. Helen Little; and three brothers, Donald Gahagan, C. Lee Gahagan, and Delmas Gahagan.
