Obituary for VIOLET MAE LAKE
Violet Lake, 86, was born February 21, 1928, to George and Marie Kunch in Tama, Iowa. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 16, 2014.
Violet is survived by her daughters, Kristi Finney and Lori Lake; loving grandchildren and great-granchildren; two brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Lake, and two sisters.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014, at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children''s Hospital in loving memory of Violet.
