Obituary for Mabel A Pew

MABEL A. (MINER) PEW
 

 

AUSTINTOWN – Mabel A. (Miner) Pew, 74, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Sept. 28, 2014.

She was born in Leetonia on Oct. 8, 1939, to the late Carl and Alice (Coffman) Miner. 

Mabel was a Leetonia High School graduate and went on to work as a route supervisor for Serex until retiring in 1997. 

Mabel married the love of her life, Robert Pew, on Aug. 30, 1958, and they happily spent 55 years together until Robert passed on March 29, 2014. 

Mabel was a member of the West Austintown First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. Mabel also enjoyed her weekly get-togethers with her friends to play cards. 

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Maribeth (Ken) Gossard of Indianapolis; daughter-in-law Rochelle Pew of Canfield; grandchildren Daniel Pew of Canfield and Ashley (Matt) Ragozzino of Costa Mesa, Calif.; brother Wayne Miner; and sisters, Sandy Burkholder and Shirley Hartman.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her son, Daniel Pew. 

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 7 p.m. 

Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
