Obituary for Andrew J Allan

Andrew J Allan, age 47, of Willowick, passed away Sept. 25, 2014.
He was born in Willoughby, on Nov. 14, 1966, the son of Alexander Allan and Linda Murphy.
Andy enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends. He was a basketball coach for over 15 years. The stories are endless about the impact he had on the children he coached. For 17 years, he was a proud councilman in Willowick. In addition, he was a proud auxiliary Eastlake Officer and Juvenile Diversion Officer. Andy helped lead the fundraising for multiple community events, including Safety Town and Community Christmas. He was honored to be named Eastlake Civilian Employee of the Year in 2012. During those involvements, he also worked at Southgate Lock and Security for 21 years. Andy was a rare individual who lived his life as an adventure without limits and it was an honor to know someone of Andy''s character. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by many.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, of 24 years, Kristine Allan; his daughters, Lindsey and Jessica Allan; his mother, Linda (Hager)Murphy; his brother, Brian (Kelly) Allan; brother-in-law, Rich (Sherri) Hall; his sister-in-law, Pam (Ron) Amaral; his nieces, Alexis, Ashley, Jillian, and Kaitlyn; and his in-laws, Dick and Nancy Hall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Allan; and his grandparents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at the Monreal Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at the funeral home.
