Karen McMillan-Grant went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2014. She was born on April 19, 1950 to Ossie McMillian and Juanita Spencer.
She attended East High School and the University of Akron. She was employed at E.A.N.D.C. and was a member of Riverside Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie McMillan and Juanita Spencer; Johnny Grant Sr.; and her daughters, Haniyyah and Lisa Grant.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Reeshawna, Khadijah, Kamilah, Karon, Derron, Johnny, Monica, and Trina; sister, Cheryl Singletary (Chester) Moore; brothers, Avon McMillan, Lamont (Sharon) McMillan and Gary (Jerilynn) Dix; twenty-one grandchildren; special friend, Terry Reed; friends, Quintella, Martha Ann, Wanda and Alvin Smith; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306 family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 639 Van Everett, Akron, Ohio 44306.
