Obituary for Betsy McLain

NEWTON FALLS - Betsy M. McLain, 83, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at Hospice House in Poland.

Betsy was born on June 7, 1931, in Columbiana County, to parents William H. and Blanche E. (Miller) Rudibaugh.

Betsy married Billy J. McLain on Aug. 5, 1972.

Betsy worked in the accounting department at Youngstown Steel for five years, then went to GM Lordstown as a receptionist in fabricating, retiring in 1973.

Betsy loved showing Doberman Pinchers and was an active member of the American Kennel Clubs. Her dogs were well-known in that arena and Betsy won several ribbons in show.

Survivors include her husband, Billy; sons Michael Batcha of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Joseph Batcha of Warren; stepsons Mark Allen McLain, of San Diego, Steven McLain of Marion, Ind.; stepdaughter Kimberly Tarallo of Phoenix; sister Alma I. Millhorn of Lisbon; and nine stepgrandchildren.

Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Raymond, Frank and Carl Rudibaugh; and sisters Mary and Betty Rudibaugh.

Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
