NEWTON FALLS - Everette F. Shaulis passed on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Metro Health Medical Center, surrounded by his devoted wife and family.

Everette was born on Dec. 12, 1940, in Stahlstown, Pa., the son of Emery and Edwinna Faust Shaulis.

Everette had a strong work ethic and worked at various occupations in his earlier years. He worked on a farm, was an employee of Isaly’s, had worked timbering and also worked in the art of glassblowing.

Later he was employed in Illinois in a plastic factory, prior to obtaining employment at General Motors in December of 1962. He continued to work both jobs for a time. In 1971, Everette transferred to the Lordstown General Motors Plant. He retired from his duties as a die setter in 1992. Following his retirement, Everette worked as a janitor for the North Jackson High School. During all of his career life, he did some type of farming, including raising livestock.

Farming was a favorite “hobby” for Everette. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Family and friends will remember him for his humorous nature and easygoing ways.

Everette was a member of the Lake Milton Baptist Temple where he served as a trustee for several years.

Everette will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Leah Sager Shaulis, whom he married on April 27, 1963, in Mount Pleasant, Pa.; his children, Kevin E. (Sandra) Shaulis, Catherine E. Dietelbach and Pamela E. (Timothy) Wolbert; his grandchildren, Amber, Branden, Cortney (Anthony), Jenna, Alexis and Anna; his great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kayleah and Savannah; his siblings, Alfred Shaulis, Dick Shawley, Robert Shawley, Shirley Natale, Edwinna Stubbs and Glenna Telford; and his nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceding Everette were his parents; his granddaughter, Britni Shaulis; his sisters, Loretta Barnes, Charlotte Fadorsen and Shirlene Vaslavsky; and his stepfather, Curtis Shawley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Milton Baptist Temple and also on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m.

The service for Everette will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Aaron Dowler officiating. Everette will be laid to rest in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.

Arrangements for Everette were entrusted to the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
