Obituary for Ruth M Perala
Ruth M. Perala, age 95, passed away July 18, 2014, at her residence in Dover, Fla.
She was born October 16, 1918, in Mingo Junction. Ruth lived in Fairport Harbor
for many years moving from Westerville.
She was a Data Engineer for the former North American Aviation in Columbus. They were responsible for building a number of historical aircrafts.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor, Daughters of Immanuel, 22 Club and the Women''s Business Association. Ruth enjoyed jazzercise till the age of 94.
Survivors are her daughters, Elva Jeanne Mico of Corrales, N.M., Nannette Skolnik of Tampa, Fla.,
Lisa (Tim) Westman of Painesville and Kathryn (Gary) Pendergraph of Escondido, Calif.; sister, Mary Jane Keller of Fairborn; grandchildren, Karen Pino, Mark Mico, Ronnie Skolnik, Nicole and Katie Westman, Sam Westman; and great-grandchildren, Ian Thompson, Ava Skolnik, Elin Mico and Anzio Mico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Perala; sisters, Vivian Forster and Nancy Jenkins; granddaughter, Kim Thompson; and stepsons, Richard and Randy Perala
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the funeral home in Fairport Harbor. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.>
