Forrest A. Johnson

Forrest A. Johnson was born to Forrest G. and Jeannette Johnson on August 8, 1964. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2014.

Affectionately known as "Anthony", he was a loving son and father who never met a stranger.

Growing up he loved going to baseball games with his grandpa and going to family reunions-vacations.

Anthony was very passionate about work as he was able to express his creative abilities. He worked at A. Schulman Inc. for 17 years, his last position held was Marketing Coordinator.

In his leisure time, Anthony loved to go fishing, attend football and baseball games, host barbeques, and spend time with family and friends. Anthony attended Buchtel High School and graduated in 1982. He completed three years of baccalaureate courses at The University of Akron where he worked at WZIP as a radio announcer known as "Atom Ant".

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse D. Lawrence, Forrest Johnson, Gussie Dean Johnson, and Lela Harris.

He leaves to celebrate his life, loving father, Forrest (Pam) Johnson of Akron, Ohio; mother, Jeannette Johnson of Akron, Ohio; children, Candace Johnson, Cedric Johnson, both of Hilliard, Ohio, and Cristin Johnson of Akron, Ohio; sisters, Shawn Smith (Ronnie Carroll) of Akron, Ohio, Angela Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., and Adrienne (Charles) Hankton of Bedford, Heights, Ohio; mother of his children, Cereatha Boyd of Akron, Ohio; girlfriend, Victoria Lopp of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12 Noon at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1398 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312, Pastor Bryant Herbert eulogizing and Pastor Derrick Moffett officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 788 Winton Ave., Akron, OH 44320.
