Obituary for Harry Fisher

Funeral services for Harry R. Fisher, 93, of Mentor, will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. The Rev. Larry A. Pozza of Erieside Church on the Boulevard will officiate the services. Mr. Fisher passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Starkey Place in Painesville. Born July 24, 1920, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 63 years, living in Eastlake for 50 years before moving to Mentor, where he resided for 13 years. He was a U.SWar II, a member of the Exchange Club and Lake County Business Men''''s Club, was a former Cub Scout leader and Troop Master of Boy Scouts Troop 87, and enjoyed bowling. Mr. Fisher was a retired self-employed plumber and home builder. Harry was a faithful worshiper at Erieside Church on the Boulevard in Willowick. He was the loving father of Bob (Sharon) Fisher of Mentor and Dale (Joyce) Fisher of Mentor; cherished grandfather of Jody Lynn (Brent Saunders) Fisher, Jamie (Heath) Fisher Wintz, Craig Robert (Carol) Fisher and Kelly Elizabeth (Dan) Smith; great-grandfather of Cayden and Carly Fisher, Brayden and Blake Wintz; brother of Lois Jean (Delroy) Young, Faith (Bud) Cooper, and Lloyd Fisher; and uncle of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jane (nee White) Fisher; parents, Harry R.G. and Ida (nee Martin) Fisher; and siblings, Sid Fisher, Clyde Fisher, Donnie Fisher, Eric Fisher, Ida Schomer, Florence Conachek, Naomi and Nadine Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Erieside Church on the Boulevard, 221 E. 320th St., Willowick, OH 44095, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110
