Obituary for Inez Franks

Inez Franks was born September 25, 1917, in Washington, Pennsylvania. She lived a wonderful life during her 96 years with a loving husband Alvero , who passed on July 27, 2003. They were married June 25,1938, and enjoyed 65 years together setting a great example of devotion to each other as well as to their loving family; they are now reunited for eternity. Inez leaves behind her sister, Teresa Coulter (99); her daughter, Teresa Lutes; granddaughters, Rhonda Luce and Gina Lutes-Finley; great-granddaughters, Olivia and Chloe Luce; great-grandsons-in-law (Her Boys), Jeff Luce and Patrick Finley. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Domenic Mazzer; and her sister, Katherine Salvetti. Inez was an exceptional mother, wife, grandmother, neighbor and friend. A smile from you was all she needed to be fulfilled, and she continued to make others smile up to her very last day. She grew up in the small coal mining town of Vestaburg, Pennsylvania. As her husband worked hard in the coal mines, Inez was busy at home baking and cooking for her family. When she wasn''t in the kitchen she was crocheting blankets and towels for everyone she knew. These loving contributions continued steadily until her final days. Inez was known for being an optimist and never complaining. Even during serious illness or injury, she was a fighter with a gentle touch. Her perseverance and attitude sent a lasting impression to all of those around her. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 South Hambden Street, Chardon. Burial will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
