Obituary for Kenneth L Roe

BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Kenneth L. Roe, 62, who died in God’s arms on Wednesday evening at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center.

Kenneth was born June 26, 1951, in Massilon, to Emmette L. and Delores (May) Roe.

He was a 1969 graduate of South High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1974. While in the Navy, Kenneth served in the Vietnam War as a Navy Radioman. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1979.

Kenneth worked nearly 30 years for the United States Postal Service as an electronics technician until retiring in 2013.

He enjoyed working in the yard and around the house, and loved the great outdoors.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, the former Valerie Limmer, whom he married May 26, 1992; a son, Matt Reison of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Audrey Fritz of Niles and Marlene (Pete) Hall of Corvallis, Ore.; two brothers, Gary (Madilyn) Roe of Bolivar and Raymond L. (Nellie) Roe of Leetonia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Wonda Dillon and Sylvia Moore.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
