The Life of JANET LEE SPEVACK
Janet L. Spevack, 78, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at her home from complications of COPD. She was born April 8, 1935 to Charles and Jenny Riddle in Des Moines.
Janet worked in the payroll department for Wilson Certified Express for many years, retiring in 1996.
Janet is survived by her children, Lloyd (Denise) Spevack, Vernon Spevack, and Dee (Kevin) Shunk; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Ethel) Riddle; sisters, Hazel (Carl) Seiberling, Gloria (Wilfred) Storey, and Gladys Luker; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Spevack in 2002; son, Billy Spevack; three brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
