The Life of Jean McWilliams Rogers

Jean McWilliams Rogers, 72 of Seymour entered into eternal rest on her birthday Nov. 27, 2013. She is the wife of the late Robert T. Rogers. Born in Derby on Nov. 27, 1941 daughter of the late John and Jean (Bell) McWilliams. A communicant of the Church of the Assumptiion, Graduate of the Ansonia High School, and a retired employee of Yale New Haven Hospital working as a Medical Code writer for Tumor registration. She is a proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother loving to cook and bake for her entire family. Also a Seymour Wildcat fan and supporter. Jean also assisted her late husband with his needs during his struggle with A.L.S. Survivors are Richard and Rena Kehrer and daughter Brittany of FL, Lori and Larry Penrod and family Nicole, Michelle and Daniel Riviere, Larry and Kyle Penrod of FL., Jean and Robert Bowns and family Kori and Brook Bowns, Jimmy and Matthew Vartelas and brother Alexander McWilliams of Oxford, sister Helen and Bob Sicignano of Wallingford and 5 great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Jacqueline Corideo and sister-in-law Catherine McWilliams. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, at 10:30 am from the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N.Cliff St., Ansonia to the Church of the Assumption for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Assumption Church or A.L.S. in care of the funeral home. -
