The Life of Wayne K. Parfitt

Wayne K. Parfitt, 87, of Pottsville passed away Tuesday while a resident of The Gardens at York Terrace.

Born September 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary Parfitt.

He was a 1953 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

Wayne was married to the late Eileen C. Seltzer who passed away in 1992.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Wayne worked most of his life for Rockwell Industries and retired from there after 32 years of employment.

In his spare time Wayne enjoyed mechanical work and working on cars.

In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Powers and a daughter-in-law Sunday Parfitt.

Wayne is survived by his children; Martiann Parfitt of Sacramento CA, William Parfitt of Pottsville and Wayne Parfitt of Newport News, VA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Catherine wife of Ali, Abigail, and Benjamin of Newport News, VA and Donald of Norfolk, VA and Josiah of Kileen TX and great grandchildren; Kayla, Brooke, James, Olivia, and Parker.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven.  Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.  Memorial and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com
