The Life of HAROLD GLEN WIDAMAN Sr.

Harold G. Widaman, 81, died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1932, to Clarence and Tina Widaman in Osceola, Ia. Harold graduated from East High School and retired from Iowa Power as a line crew foreman where he worked for over 45 years. He most recently worked for Rochester Armored Car as an armed security guard driver for 15 years. He attended Lutheran Church of Hope and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, and deer hunting with his bow and arrow. Harold was known for his witty sense of humor, infectious smile, and dedication to his whole family. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Erla Mae; children, Deborah (Darrell) Hoefling, Diane (Gary) Myers, Dawn (Mark) Stout, and Harold Widaman Jr; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah Nadolsky; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Merrill Widaman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
