The Life of DOROTHY JEAN COCKING
Dorothy Cocking, 88, passed away August 26, 2013 at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines. She was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on September 21, 1924, to Ethel and Robert Cook, Sr.
Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and spending time at NW Senior Center.
Dorothy is survived by her cousin, Ernie Daniels and nephews, Gary (Becky) Cook, Dennis (Peggy) Cook and Brian Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2013 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
