The Life of WILLIAM ANTHONY CHEBUHAR Sr.
William A. Chebuhar, Sr., 97, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at University Park Nursing and Rehab in Des Moines.
William was born July 26, 1916, in Rathbun, Iowa, to George and Francis (Muncy) Chebuhar. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was employed by Armstrong Tire and Rubber. William was a miniature railroad enthusiast and a Chicago Cubs fan. William is survived by his wife, Rubena (Ruby); sons, Bill, Jr. (Sandy) and Robert (Kathy); grandchildren, Keely, Meghan, Joseph, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Evan and Shane; and his sisters, Fran and Anne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013, at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Avenue, Des Moines, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Department for the Blind, 524 Fourth Street, Des Moines, IA 50309.
