The Life of DORIS BERDINE HELMS
Doris B. Helms, 81, passed away July 19, 2013, at home. She was born September 7, 1931, in Lacona, Iowa, to Roy and Ruth Lovell. She worked for Continental Western for 40 years until her retirement in 2006.
Doris enjoyed playing card games and dominoes, and going to the farmers market. She loved spending time with her family and getting together at holidays.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Connie Warren, Becky (Terry) Fisher, and Teri Prather; grandchildren, Brooke Gillum and Lauren King; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Donna Jean Peed, Iva Reha, and Shirley Goodman; and brother, Chuck Lovell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lee; and brother, Ted.
A visitation will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m., on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
