The Life of DOUGLAS ALLEN DEAN
Douglas Dean, 53, passed away May 31, 2013. He was born June 15, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa, the second son born to Dale and Elizabeth Dean.
Douglas graduated from Saydel High School in 1978. He attended DMACC and graduated in 1983 with an Automotive and Body Work degree. Douglas had a career in carpentry for 30 years, which he learned from his father. He was a partner in Dean Construction with his father, and brothers, Dennis and Damon.
Douglas is survived by his parents, Dale and Elizabeth Dean; brothers, Damon (Shawnee), Dennis (Linda), and Dayton; three nieces; one nephew; eight great-nieces; one great-nephew; aunts; uncles; cousins; and loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
