The Life of Nancy Plishka Sevick
Nancy Ann Sevick, age 68, beloved wife of David M. Sevick of Ansonia, died April 29, 2013, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Born in Bridgeport on August 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Morano Plishka. Mrs. Sevick was a resident of Ansonia for 10 years, previously of Shelton and Stratford. She worked as a Senior Payroll Administrator for the News America Marketing Co. of Wilton for 24 years, until the time of her illness. She was an Elvis enthusiast, owning many pieces of collectible memorabilia; but her passion was her family. She was the consummate wife, mother and nana, always caring for the needs of others before her own. In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by her devoted sons, Christopher D. Sevick and his wife, Sarah of Norwich and Todd N. Sevick of Ansonia; brother, Nicholas Plishka of Rocky Hill and cherished grandchildren, Ian and Aiden Sevick. A Mass of Christian Burial, Meeting Directly at Church, will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, 380 Long Hill Ave., Shelton, on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia.
