The Life of DELORIS LOUISE THOMPSON

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Heritage Assembly of God, 5051 NE 5th Street, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the church.
Deloris was born to Howard and Pearl Phipps Jones on September 5, 1931, in Decatur County. She was raised on the farm, but moved to Des Moines when her father began his ministry. She married Charles Thompson in 1950, and their union was blessed with a son and a daughter. She loved her home, her family, her friends, and her Lord. Welcoming her into heaven was her husband of 53 years.
She leaves behind her children, Dennis (Cynthia) and Patricia; grandchildren, Angela (Matt) Gidley, Beth (John) Fugitt, Stephanie (James) Skinner, and Tyler Thompson; and her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Isabella, Trinity, Micah, Lydia, Jack, and Trey.
