The Life of DONNA MAXINE LOCKWOOD

Donna Lockwood passed away March 21, 2013. She was born on November 23, 1924, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, where she lived until moving to Seattle, Washington, during World War II. During the war she was involved in building aircraft at Boeing Aircraft. While in Seattle she met and married M.J. “Red” Lockwood. Donna retired from American Republic Insurance Company. Donna is survived by her daughter, Trudy (Bob) Woline of Clive; son, Larry (Julie) Lockwood of Bondurant; grandchildren, Justin Lockwood, Amanda Lockwood (Mike Dolsen), Jenna (Riley) Hogan, Brian (Angela) Woline, Zachary Lockwood, and Michelle (Troy) Jenkins, as well as four great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with memorial services beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden in loving memory of Donna.
