The Life of MARGARET JEAN SMITH
Margaret Jean Smith, 86, passed away March 15, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born March 7, 1927 to Omer and Edna Mortimore.
Margaret lived in Des Moines most of her life and married Charles Smith in 1954. She worked at Davey''s Dinner Club and the Des Moines school system for many years.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles; grandchildren, Ronald Dubois of Council Bluffs, Peggy Kimmel and Theresa Price, both of Des Moiens; as well as 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Lee Pilkington.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 N.E. 60th Avenue in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
