The Life of NORMA RUTH BOBENHOUSE
Norma Bobenhouse, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines.
Norma was born January 19, 1925, in Linden, Iowa, to Orval and Edith Burnham. She married Fred Bobenhouse in 1948. Norma retired from the Beaverdale Bakery in 1987. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and cooking. Norma loved having special parties for her grandchildren and was known for her cherry pie. She was a member of First Christian Church and Christian Women Fellowship.
Norma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred; children, Steven (Nancy) Bobenhouse and Sheryl (Jim) Wright; daughter-in-law, Johanna Bobenhouse; grandchildren, Dustin, SaraAnn, Jason, and Jesse; sister, Lucille Estrada; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott; grandson, Christopher; sister, Dorothy; and her brother, Claude.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013, at First Christian Church, 25th & University followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday, at the church.
