The Life of DORRIS LUCILLE RALEIGH
Dorris Lucille Raleigh, 94, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. A visitation will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 314 East Army Post Road. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Dorris was born January 22, 1919 in Hastings, NE to Glen and Ada Mitchell. She was an accredited minister with the Open Bible Church, serving along side her pastor husband, Stanford for many years. She spent her whole life putting others first.
Dorris is survived by her children, Nancy Jo (Dennis) Kurtz of Naples, FL, Bryant Raleigh of Des Moines, Tim (Dorothy) Raleigh of Muscatine, Dan (Lori) Raleigh of Cedar Rapids, Jon Raleigh of Clive; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanford Raleigh; her daughters, Sandra Fear, Linda Hews and grandsons, Kevin Kurtz and Matthew Raleigh.
