The Life of PAUL STACY GROVE SR
Paul S. Grove, Sr., 73, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born March 6, 1939, in Des Moines to Richard and Thelma Grove.
Paul owned and operated Best Way Termite and Pest Control for 35 years. He enjoyed gambling, playing cards and fishing. Paul was a true life clown, always joking around and having a smile on his face. He never knew a stranger, and was someone his friends and family could always count on. He loved to roam the country in his RV. Paul lived in both Arizona and Iowa so he could spend time with all his family in both states. He loved God and his church family at Fountain Hills Baptist Church.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Denice Grove and Brenda (Rondell) Hendrickson; sisters, Mynita Rubel and Effie Gross; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; and his dog, “Blaze”. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Rita; his son, Paul, Jr.; and his brothers, Richard, Jr. and John.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A reception will follow burial at the Boline-Manfredi VFW Post 9662, 1309 NE 66th Avenue in Des Moines.
