The Life of PHYLLIS VERONA FYFE
Phyllis Fyfe, 90, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born January 17, 1922, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Willard and Florence Thomason.
Phyllis liked being outdoors and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved her cats and spending time with her family.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Jim (Donna) Fyfe, Linda Fyfe, John (Lynnette) Fyfe, Bruce (Deb) Fyfe, and Cheryl Fyfe; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Dolores Herman; and brother, Dale Thomason. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fyfe; her parents; and siblings, Wilma Goetsch and Orin Thomason.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
