The Life of ARLENE MILDRED GIBLEON LEAR
Arlene Lear, 85, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines. She was born October 26, 1927, in Eldora, Iowa, to Clarence and Emma (Roll) Gibleon.
Arlene was an administrative secretary for Mercy Medical Center-Radiology for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Dudley) Phipps; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Dale (Patti) Gibleon. She was preceded in death by three children, Ronald Witt, Randall Witt and Gaylen Lear; parents; and her brothers, Harold and Raymond.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2012, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
