The Life of JOSEPH FRANKLIN MAPLES
Joseph Maples, 68, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born June 21, 1944, in Des Moines, to James and Anna Caroline (Riddle) Maples.
Joseph graduated from North High School. He spent most of his career with Allied Meats in the accounting department, but was most recently employed with Sorensen Restaurant Equipment. He enjoyed traveling with his Sweet Pea, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Bill (Stephanie Tang) Maples and Rick (Pathana) Maples; the love of his life, Sharren Jones; and his brother, Charles Maples. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Roz Maples and sister, Carolyn Ann.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time, at the funeral home.
