The Life of JANET ARLENE LATSHAW
Janet A. Latshaw, 88, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Janet was born November 23, 1923, in Carpenter, Iowa, to Edwin and Hedwig Bork. She was raised in Carpenter and moved to Des Moines at the age of 18. Janet was a member of Grand View Lutheran Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Larry J. (Connie), Bob A., and John B. Latshaw; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John A. Latshaw; her parents, sister, Joyce McCready, and grandson, Kelly Latshaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012, at Grand View Lutheran Church, 2930 E. 13th Street, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Lutheran Church or Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
